Ad Brown & Steve Kaetzel ft Arielle Maren - Like The Sunrise

‘Like The Sunrise’ is another one out of the bucket of great tracks that were on Ad Brown’s debut artist album ‘Something For The Pain’. On this trancer he collaborates with fellow DJ Steve Kaetzel and songstress Arielle Maren. It’s a big release package. Zoo Brazil, Pedro Del Mar & Hoyaa and Terry Da Libra, are all flown in for the remixing. Also included is an extended mix and a dub mix.

Ad Brown is known as a leading light in the British dance music scene, described by DJ Mag as the ‘go-to-man’ for that progressive enriched trance sound. He has been handpicked to support some of the biggest names in the dance industry such as Calvin Harris and Paul Oakenfold. Besides the UK, Ad has been touring in India, Indonesia, Russia and all of mainland Europe, smashing the dance floors with his unique sound. In 2013 he released his very first artist album ‘Something For The Pain’ an ensemble of killer tracks and great collaborations.

Steve Kaetzel went from being a sound designer for video games and short films, to a well-known name in the electronic music industry. He got his first taste of EDM in a local club, and it instantly got him hooked making him move from Kentucky to Seattle to pursue his new-found love. He then signed his first EP on Black Hole Recordings’ Songbird label. After that many releases, collaborations and remixes followed for artists such as Zoo Brazil and Moonbeam.

Arielle Maren definitely made a name for herself in the world of EDM with her emotional and touching vocals. She has collaborated with Cardinal, Ørjan Nilsen, Dimension and Estiva, gaining a lot of success and support. New material is in the making, so be sure to follow Arielle!

Andrea Mazza ft Hysteria! - This Perfect Night

@BlackHoleRec @GOOnAirRec @DJAndreaMazza - GOA 003-1

Black Hole Recordings’s avatarYour night is definitely going to be perfect with this new release on GO On Air Recordings. Italian Andrea Mazza delivers this enchanting trancer together with songstress Hysteria! who's magical vocals perfectly compliment the track. Fabio XB has been flown in for a remix, making the package complete.

Andrea Mazza first started spinning the decks almost 24 years ago in various clubs in Italy. A career in the radio business followed. Andrea was quite a pioneer; bringing trance, progressive and techno, genres that were not yet so widely spread in Italy, to the people through the m2o radio station. That radio station soon became the biggest electronic music station in Italy and the most important Italian radio station worldwide. In 2004 he released his first track, which received great feedback and support. In 2011 he released State of Soul together with Max Denoise on Vandit Records with a Giuseppe Ottaviani Intro Mix and Maarten de Jong Remix.

Now, more than 10 years along the way and many releases later, he's back with a new release on GO on Air Recordings from fellow Italian Giuseppe Ottaviani. You'll be hearing more from this guy for sure!

Vadim Zhukov - Moscow Morning

Moscow Morning - Single, Vadim ZhukovVadim Zhukov’s ‘Moscow Morning’ was originally released on the Deep Blue Records label back in 2006 under the artist name of ‘Double V’. Since then a new act as laid claim to that name, so Vadim decided to use his real name for this release of new and reissued mixes. Leading the charge is Ultimate’s rocking 138bpm pure trance mix which is a perfect example of what a modern remix update should be – it is completely faithful to the wonderful melodies and progressions of the original 2006 release but envelops them in a 100% bang-up-to-date peak-time trance mix. On a much deeper note is a remix by Vadim himself under his renowned ‘Stanley Progman’ alias, which takes us on an immersive trip down a minimal trance-for-adults road. Finally the elusive ImmerSense guys darken up the atmosphere somewhat with spooky sequencers, eerie atmospherics and experimental percussive elements in their progressive trance remake.

Adam Gilbert - A Generation of Forgotten Kings

Adam22gil’s avatarGreat alternative music, smooth vocals building up to energetic rhythms. "Everywhere I Go" is a lovely track especially, with the simple melodic piano notes and a sweet soft voice. Various interesting fragmented touches with the beats just beautifully highlight the piece. "I'll Hold You In My Arms" is a truly beautiful piece also.

Since graduating from the University of Miami in 2004, New Jersey native Adam Gilbert has been active as a piano-based singer-songwriter, producer, and music director. With fans representing over 100 different countires on his e-mail list, Adam's piano-driven alternative pop/rock is reaching and inspiring people from all over the world. His last album, Fishing For Water, received national airplay and five-star reviews on iTunes. His music video for “Break Through Today” (Fishing For Water) was nationally televised in 2009 under FUSE. One review called the song “a modern masterpiece of songwriting with an innovative sense of musical adventure.” Although the video for "Break Through Today’" is priceless YouTube entertainment, Gilbert has a more serious, purpose-driven side to his music, which is dynamically expressed via his latest release A Generation of Forgotten Kings.

"Nervy in its ambitions, thrilling in its sense of influence-smashing alchemy, and memorable for its raw emotional honesty, Adam Gilbert’s A Generation of Forgotten Kings is an exciting find."

The title track opens the album on an billowing, very Coldplay-ish note, as Gilbert makes a stirring call for generational unity toward change. As he suggests, “Let’s see what we can do!,” the song surges forward with arena-shaking intensity.

Of course, there’s nowhere to go but down from there, and Gilbert handles the transition into piano-driven emotional complexity on “How Do We Respond” with delicate finesse, adroitly laying out the doubt and confusion on the other side of the same question. From there, Gilbert moves deeper into a sense of elegiac reverie with “On a Hill” and “Steady as We Go,” recalling the most resonant of Elton John’s work without directly referencing it.

At his best, Gilbert mixes and matches familiar sensibilities like that, creating something that’s uniquely his own: “This Old World” and “Better,” for instance, share the satiny-smooth approachableness of AM singer-songwriters like Neil Sedaka—even if the subject matter is dark and more modern. Similarly, “Do You Want Me Now?” has the brawny operatic sweep of the best Queen, with a touch of Radiohead’s naked openness. I hear Coldplay again in the rhythmically complex “I’ll Hold You in My Arms,” but without even a whisper of irony in the lovestruck lyric.

“A Little Emotion” and “We're Accountable” combine the anthematic power of “A Generation of Forgotten Kings” and the turbulent feelings of “On a Hill,” while “Everywhere I Go” explores a torchy, closing-hour vulnerability.

Gilbert’s record finds its power in those depths of emotion from the loudest crashes to the confidential, almost whispered pleas of “Stay Awhile.” When he powers up again for a rousing finale in “Listen,” completing the circle both thematically and musically for A Generation of Forgotten Kings, there is both a sense of closure, of a completed thought—and also that Gilbert has so very much more to say.

Iko - Heart Of Stone (Solarstone Pure Mix)

Black Hole Recordings’s avatar
You might already know the artist. You may very well have heard the track. And if you’re a devotee of vampires, werewolves, et al, the odds go through the roof that the bewitching ‘Heart of Stone’ has already found its way to you ears.

Joining the respected likes of Green Day, Ellie Goulding & Skrillex, Iko’s track first appeared on the soundtrack for the final chapter of The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn. Through its inclusion the two-piece melodic rock group’s breakthrough has won them new fans in places far and wide - among them is a certain English pure trance practitioner!

Turning the bewitching into the entrancing, through his Pure rework , Solarstone spins ‘Heart of Stone’ to face the club floor. Bringing it into the electronic music realm, he energizes it with a hallmark Pure Trance production. Running 4/4 drums, throbbing rocky bass guitar lines, echoing atmospheric effects and haunting keyboard lines all charge its frontend.

In the drop he conveys the complex power of Iko singer Kieran Scragg’s wrought lyrics & ethereal vocals and Neil Reed’s pensive castaway pianoforte into the mix. Contrasting their collective emotion with the ascension of his mix’s lead line, he turns its angst-like feel into something altogether more euphoric and uplifting .

Giuseppe Ottaviani & Audiocells ft Shannon Hurley - I Am Your Shadow

For ‘Magenta’s next single transmission, musical maestro Giuseppe Ottaviani has teamed up with Dmitry Dmitriev, better known as Russian trance progressive producer Audiocells. Completing the release’s super troupe is vocalist Shannon Hurley and together they’ve conspired to create something a little bit low-slung and deliciously mood filled!! This is ‘I Am Your Shadow’.

With the launch of his GO On Air Recordings imprint and the release of the Alana Aldea collaboration ‘Heal This Empty Heart’, Giuseppe’s 2014 was fast off the blocks. March sees the Italian electronic music composer supersize another of the ‘Magenta’ album’s vocal prizes into an incredible single.

Singer Shannon Hurley (who’s previously toplined tracks for Alex M.O.R.P.H., Tenishia, Andy Duguid, Protoculture and others) brings no small amount of vocal haunt and mystique to her lyrical lines and vocal intonations. Giuseppe underpins them with one of his typically thrusting, sinuous productions, while Audio Cells supply their darkly more atmospheric trance-progressive top layer to further shade ‘Magenta’s palette.

Roger Shah & DJ Feel ft Zara Taylor - One Life

Zara is widely considered as one of the leading EDM voices, as many say she’s has the most emotional voice of all the great and talented EDM vocalists. She recently released a collaboration single with Alex M.O.R.P.H which has popped up in almost all essential trance playlists.

Polly A - Pick Your Poison

"When city lights turn away the day. He's who I run to silly me "

Pick Your PoisonLike a phoenix rising from the ashes, Meleni Smith gave birth to Polly A. After seeing herself on the floor, her own reflection unrecognizable, feeling the pangs of heartache, she felt her heart break open.  And while open, found love redefined.  She ushered in all the light. Love became a verb.  Finding new opportunities to love with every breath taken, new reasons to love everyone and everything, she realized that love is the only reason we are born.  To learn love and give it away. To love yourself so much that you cannot deny loving all reflections of self. We are all mirrors of one another. Polly A. Polyamorous.

Born in Flint, Michigan, raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Polly A.  began singing at the age of six. Brought up by a Jamaican mother, Polly A. never knew exactly where she fit into the world but she knew that music helped her find HOW she fit in it. Her voice is a mixture of raw soul with an intense rasp that will send chills. Her electrifying melodies take you on a ride the moment you press play. Polly A.’s capability to evoke the profound truth about love, loss, spirituality and just about any topic she chooses brings you in and makes you want to stay.

She recently signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Publishing, alongside hit producer Salaam Remi (produced Amy Winehouse, Nas) and had the honor of having superstar Alicia Keys sing one of her songs on her album, “Element of Freedom” called “Love is My Disease.”  She also co-wrote many songs with newcomer Kat Dahlia including her new single “Clocks” and as well co-wrote J Cole’s smash hit ‘Crooked Smile.”

Polly A. released her independent album, “My Heart in Focus” in February of 2012 under the name Meleni Smith and received rave reviews.  She attracted the attention and acclaim of many notable hit makers in the industry including Babyface, Stargate, Cee-lo, and Toby Gad. Polly A. believes that accomplishments and setbacks are equally important pieces to the entire story of an artist’s success and development. Asked about the progression of her career and her insistence on creative control and independence she responds with: “This is a marathon, not a race. Just when I don’t know what will happen next, a door is opened. I am just grateful to be given a gift that I can share with others.”
